Peggy Sotiropoulou
Chief Scientific Officer T-Knife Therapeutics
Dr. Peggy Sotiropoulou is Chief Scientific Officer and Director at T-knife Therapeutics, where she leads the development of supercharged T-cell therapies for solid tumors. She brings more than 20 years of experience in immuno-oncology and cell therapy, advancing programs from discovery to clinic. Before joining T-knife, she was Head of R&D at Celyad Oncology, where she led the development of autologous and allogeneic CAR-T platforms. She previously served as a tenured Research Associate Professor at Université Libre de Bruxelles, focused on tumor response and sensitization to therapy. Dr. Sotiropoulou holds a Ph.D. in Cancer Immunotherapy from the University of Crete and a MSc in Biology from the University of Athens.
Seminars
- Exploring how to leverage innate‑like recognition of stress‑induced antigens to defining indications where gamma delta T cells offer superior tumor surveillance compared with NK and T cells, particularly in heterogeneous or immune‑evasive tumors
- Identifying disease settings in which NK cells provide enhanced therapeutic benefit, including solid and liquid tumors through natural cytotoxicity and off‑the‑shelf compatibility
- Exploring combinatorial and multimodal strategies incorporating monoclonal antibodies, checkpoint inhibitors, cytokines, or other immunomodulators to amplify cellular immune responses, overcome tumor‑mediated immunosuppression, and achieve more durable tumor eradication
